There is generally a moderate percentage of stones in the Falezze ground, with only at certain points a notable increase, its sub-layer consists of calcareous, compact and stratified rocks.
In the vertical section of the ground it is possible to notice on the surface a highly marked property of clay, which is extremely calcareous and moderately alkaline. In the deepest part of the soil there is a loam sandy layer.
As a whole the soil is moderate permeable with good drainage providing good water autonomy.
The soil is poor in nutrients but rich in microelements, which feature stimulates the vine to produce many roots and explore the soil in depth. The result is the production of a large root system that is a "natural" reservoir of important substances including the microelements unmistakably present in the wine.
